Sea-Changers are proud to be an environmental partner of the British Marine Federation at this year's Southampton Boat Show.
In a show of long-term commitment to marine conservation, British Marine last year pledged a long-term plan to minimise the environmental impact of its world class event, Southampton International Boat Show. BMF are focusing on eight main areas: Plastics / Paper / Catering / Waste & Recycling / Our Home/ Travel / Access / Education & Awareness. As a purpose-built event, reducing the environmental impact of the show isn't easy so it is great to see BMF take steps in the area..
Sea-Changers will be involved in a number of initiatives throughout the show which include working with one of our partner businesses, A Plan Insurance, to provide all exhibitors with their own Boat Show reusable bottles.
BMF will also be selling refillable bottles to all show visitors and raining money for Sea-Changers through the sales. Water refill sites will be available throughout the show site.
Members of the Sea-Changers team will be attending the show and participating in a range of events. On the 21st and 22nd of September we will be working with ‘Always Plastic Free’ and promoting and raising awareness of how to make your own eco bricks so do come along to find out more.
Partners events have already been taking place and on 25th of August Sea-Changers in partnership with British Marine Federation, the Green Blue, Friends of Weston Shore to run the 'The Boat Show Beach Clean’ at Weston Shore.
